ANNOUNCING THE NEW WORLD OF AMIGA
A press conference to announce the future direction of the Amiga computer will be held at 3p.m. on Friday, May 16 at Salon Bourg, Novotel Exhibition Centre, 1 Shortlands, Hammersmith, London.
Negotiations are currently taking place for Amiga to be taken over from Amiga Technologies by the American based Gateway 2000 computer company. It is a move which Gateway president Rick Snyder says "will strengthen our intellectual property position and invigorate a company which has been a pioneer in multimedia solutions and operating systems technology."
Amiga's current president Petro Tyschtschenko says: "Gateway will give us new life and energy for the future."
Mr. Tyschtschenko will be available at the press conference. So too will Gateway's Corporate Development Manager Stephen Johns.
