Hi!

On http://www.amigaplus.de/aktuell.htm, there is an interview dated 12/02/98 with Petro T. Here's my rough English translation:

In an interview with Amiga Plus, Petro Tyschtschenko, CEO of Amiga International replies to some recent doubts of Amiga users. He says there should be no more doubts: the decision for the 680x0/PowerPC variant is definitive.

Meanwhile, he adds that some points (statements) still need to be clarified.

Petro thinks that AI and Amiga Inc. should not just do development, rather his personal opinion is that they should produce future Amigas, since they will also develop future Amiga hardware.

He can imagine that they could produce and sell Amigas.

Tyschtschenko and Jeff Schindler will meet at the Amiga'98 in St.Louis. The next official statements about future plans will be released there.

Subject: Petro T. interviewed: New Amiga only in 1999?

Hi!

Here's my rough English translation of yet another Amiga Plus interview with Petro Tyschtschenko, dated 14/02/98 and available in German at http://www.amigaplus.de/aktuell.htm :

Amiga International, respectively Amiga Inc. will develop new Amiga models themselves. However, it is still open who will build and sell them, says Petro Tyschtschenko in an interview with Amiga Plus. He can imagine, that the Amiga group (AInc, AI) will do it themselves. On the other side, one could also imagine licensing the newly-developed concepts.

The availability of the new Amiga models, announced for 1998 at the Computer 97 will probably only happen in 1999. Their target is to make them available as soon as possible. Currently, there are many "hot talks".
