The Champaign-Urbana Computer Users Group was formed in 1983 to promote computing and education for users of personal computers. We currently support Macintosh, Windows and Linux personal computers. The group continues to be very active and successful, with members from all around east-central Illinois. Informative Club Meetings Held MonthlyWe hold our meetings generally the third Thursday of each month at the Illinois Fire Service Institute. The Fire Institute building is located at 11 Gerty Dr Champaign, IL 61820 in south Champaign. Meetings are also available via Zoom (video conference) and links are sent to members each month via e-mail. Monthly presentations, talks or "socials" allow our members to share knowledge and help each other with problems and issues. The Linux SIG meets at 6:15pm and the general meeting begins at 7:00pm followed by the Macintosh and Windows SIGs. A great deal of information is shared at CUCUG meetings!High Quality NewsletterThe CUCUG Status Register is the monthly e-mail newsletter of the organization and is read by computer enthusiasts from around the globe.
